I am a practitioner of the Orff Approach to music education. This holistic and all-inclusive approach actively involves all students in music-making, composing, creating and performing.
Through singing, percussion work, melodic instrumental work on xylophones, glockenspiels, metallophones and marimbas, dance, and creative movement, students are led on a path to empower them to be creative and take charge of their own learning.
I have a passion for choral work, and believe that every child should be taught to sing in tune, and be given the opportunity to experience the joy of singing in a choir. Choral music experience is a possibility for every child, not only the gifted and talented. Performing choral music engages children of every intellectual capacity.
‘Among the important outcomes of choral music experience is the sense of community,
producing something together which is greater than any one person could produce alone.’ (Rao, D., 1990, Choral music experience, Boosey & Hawkes)

I offer a variety of choral workshops to address the specific needs and requirements of each
choral directors and choirs.
Some possible options include:
- observing the choral director and giving constructive feedback after the rehearsal
- taking part of the rehearsal and then team teaching with the choral director
- running a choral workshop with the choir.
Fee for the choral workshop will be negotiated.
A Choral Course under the banner of ANCA will be offered three times during the year.
